We’re a family-friendly local cycling group that enjoy cycle rides in and around the five Stokes and surrounding countryside.
Our varied rides programme includes everything from short potters around the local cycle network to fifty-mile day-rides and everything in between. Whatever your experience or fitness there’s bound to be a ride to suit you. We ride on most weekends, so keep any eye on our website for the latest updates.
For the more adventurous we offer weekend tours and the occasional overseas trip.
Families with children are welcome; whether in trailers, tag-a-long's, or their own bike, but we ask that their parents or a guardian accompany them.
You’re welcome to come along on two rides to see what you think.
- Weekly rides with experienced leaders
- The knowledge of people who’ve been riding bikes for years
- Discounts at local cycle shops
- Last but not least, a very friendly welcome
SCC Members can also opt to join CTC as an Affiliate member for a modest additional fee. Affiliate members have access to useful CTC benefits, including personal Third Party Liability Insurance covering most day–to-day cycling and discounts in hundreds of cycle retailers.
For details of how to become a member, please see our membership page.
We have written a constitution that all members have agreed to and it clearly sets out our
aims as a group and how we operate. To read the constitution

We have a clear structure with the traditional positions of Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
In addition to these positions we also have 3 positions representing the various types of
riders that we have already identified within the club. There is a representative for the
Family/Novice riders, one for the Medium Length riders and another for the Long Distance
riders. The idea is that the 3 representatives will help to formulate ideas for new rides
specifically targeted at their riding group.
We are currently conducting a short survey.
We value your feedback, and would appreciate if you took a few moments to respond to some questions.
